Introduction - Sherrie Roberts

Here is my intro: My name is Sherrie Roberts aka, "QuiltKnit"- quiltknit.blogspot.com. I am from the South, however, I have lived and worked in Boston, MA, since, 1999. I have only my youngest son with me. We have no other family here. My son works for Apple and My other son works for the Army- Over There. I have drawn all my life. I have no memory of not having a needle, thread, pencil, crayon, or Bread in my hand. ( Yes, I cook, will publish some food shots later.) Oh, Yes, Ms Patches has agreed to pose for the "CAT". She rules the roost. I am a graduate of Graphical Technical Services, and Printing and Graphic Illustration. I began digital with the first PowerMac's that allowed the use of Adobe Photoshop at the 0.0001 edition, the QuarkXpress, PageMaker, Adobe Illustration, the animated ones etc. I am just now learning the new methods. ( I did not get the all powerful Art Job promised with "Phi Theta Kappa". ) I use all mediums, WC, WCP, Acrylics have really evolved, Oil, Pastels, Fountain Pens- really can say the best for sketching is the Lamy. I did get a Japanese Somiko and I look forward to my first Lamy with a black nib. I have been told it is the most smooth. I love graphite. I am also refreshing my memory with Alice. I have always loved my sketching books. Yes, I fell for the Moleskine here in Boston. It brought me back to my art. Strangly, Lynn the city I live in got me to be the artist I have always been.
