I've cut up Rose's Moly....dun dun dunnnnn!!! (enter scary music here)

Okay, it's not really as bad as it sounds....actually I did it on purpose. And to get technical there's really only two small cuts that only make the picture, cuter. I decided to do a bit of collage in Rose's moly...her Alice and Dinah are wearing real bows (wait until you see them!!) and I thought it only right to add a bit of realness to my entry. I've added some tiny card people...well, I won't spoil it...I will post a work in progress picture tonight when I get home from work, so you can see what's going on...and Amy I promise to have it out in the mail this week. So be on the look out next week for a small package in your mailbox :)

I guess we're going to need to decide who gets the book after you. Does it go on to Sherrie, as originally intended or do we keep sending it backwards? Not really sure. Someone help me decide!! I am terribly indecisive :)

Okay so here's the work in progress.... I was able to color in the grass and roses today at work on my lunch break...I started the sky last night at home...and will continue forging on...but wanted to show you what I have so far.

Geez Louise, Rose...what'd you do bribe the postal employees?

I went out this afternoon to check the mail and what do I find waiting for me? Rose's moly! Good grief, didn't you just mail it from the U.K. like, I dunno, yesterday?? Mine take over a week to get to you, you must have overnighted the damn thing. Either way I am totally impressed and will get crackin' on this right away and get it off to Amy so she can finally have a moly in the mail.

There was a big oops this morning....

Okay....so there was a big ol' oops this morning. Poor Rose, who was a bit behind in the exchange because of University work pumped out two molies last week and went to go mail them today. Because we had a few people get behind I suggested to Rose that she should send my moly on and send her moly backwards. Everyone following so far? Because this is where it get's a little confusing, hee hee. Probably all my fault too....I tend to ramble :)

Any-whoo.... this morning Rose went to the post office and mailed my moly to Shalanna and sent her moly to me. Of course I thought nothing of that when reading her post, all sounded fine and dandy until Amy pointed out that, "weren't we were skipping over Shalanna in the rotation?"

(For those of you just tuning in, Shalanna has been MIA for sometime and we had planned to skip her in rotation because we couldn't get a hold of her.)

EEEEKKKK! At first I thought it was a type-o because Rose is supposed to mail to Sherrie not Shalanna. Both names start with an "S" so I thought that had to be it. Nope, Rose and Shalanna are also in another exchange and now you get why it was confusing. It was an accident, no worries people!

Needless to say, Shalanna got my panicked message from earlier today and will be sending my moly on to Shellie as soon as she gets it in the mail. As for Shalanna's participation with the rest of the exchange, I told her not to worry about us...the poor thing has been understandably preoccupied with her mother who's had to be hospitalized. As it turns out, Shalanna is the sole care giver for her mother and has been beyond busy. I told her to not worry about us here, we'll just go on as we were and best of luck to her.

So that is the latest news break! Whew...nothing like a little moly scare to get us in the mood for more mailing, huh? Hee hee....see ladies this is why we warn eachother when we are going to mail and when we receive a package, LOL!!

Hey folks!
Just to let you know I've sent the two moley's I received. One is going to you, Shalanna and the other (mine) is going to Kelley and then onto Amy as we thought it would be less pressure on the others. Please tell me when you get it you two! They should arrive in around 1-2 weeks.
Oh and Kelley, the moley you sent arrived today! That boy n the front cover is so cute! I wish I had time to draw on the cover of my envelopes :( Sorry its taken me quite a while to send them, I've been so busy with uni work (deadline on thursday for an incredibly awkward brief) it's been mayhem!!

Also, in case it's not totally obvious....

Ha Ha, in case it's not completely obvious to all of you...I work at a boring desk job where if I don't play around on the Internet through out the day, I might cry (not really, well, kinda) Ha Ha...anyway, as you can tell I'm on here a lot, I check my emails constantly - it's not hard to get a hold of me and get a quick response. I also apologize if I'm being too pushy or impatient, but like I mentioned in the previous post...it's nearly the end of November and with all the holidays just right around the corner I can see how that's gonna push us back because of lack of time. I just don't want our little group of happy art-eests getting unhappy and not finishing our books, thank you all for your help.

What do you all think?

Okay, so I sent an email to Rose this morning asking if she'd already mailed out her moly because I thought rather than have her send both her's and mine to Sherrie at once, maybe she could send hers backwards. However, I have no idea if she's mailed it at this point, because I just thought up this plan this morning :) If she has mailed it, well then we're S.O.L. (sh*t out of luck, for those of you who don't know that term) and we'll just have to move along as planned before.

My thinking is, if we have Rose go backwards, Amy and I who are sitting around with nothing can work on a book and keep the rotation moving along. And, the girls towards the middle of the rotation who are running behind will have time to catch up and not feel bombarded with molies.

What do you all think? Are you okay with that? It is a bad idea, let's here your thoughts because as it stands, if we go the original route...I have nothing, Amy has nothing, Rose will get Amy's within the week, Sherrie will be getting Rose and Mine at the same time and Tiffany should be getting Sherrie's because it went out in the mail as of Saturday, right Sherrie?

As for Shalanna, as far as I can tell she is completely missing in action...I haven't heard from her since sometime in October and seeing as how we are almost at the end of November that's just too long in between any contact. I really don't know what to do. I hate to be a meanie, but I think we are gonna have to skip over her...I've sent emails and posted messages here, and no response. So unless there's an objection from any of you...I think we need to skip over her. Sad but true :(

Where are all the molies hiding?

Hello Ladies!

How is everything going? Just trying to keep everyone as up to date as possible (like the good camp counselor, I never was) so I thought I would post a note here to let you all know how things are going with the exchange...well, you know, at least to the best of my knowledge

Rose has just finished her book as well as mine, ALL IN ONE DAY!!! which means Sherrie, you'll probably be getting two at once because she had trouble locating a moly at first and then got held up with a project for university. No pressure - just work on Rose's first and take it from there.

I mailed Amy's moly to Rose on Friday of last week, what was that? November 7th. It'll still be about a week before that even get's there based off of how long it took my moly to reach Rose last time, so she'll get a little bit of a breather after her moly marathon today, hee hee. So that means as of last week I'm not working on anything until a new package comes....

So let's hear from the rest of you -

Amy, have you received anything from Shalanna at this point? Or are you like me, playing a bit of the waiting game?

Tiffany, how are you doing? I know you got held up at the beginning, have you mailed your moly yet or are you still working on it?

Shalanna and Sherrie, I haven't heard much from either one of you...how are you ladies doing? Still with us? Please feel free to let us know if your having troubles or if you've been delayed by you know, life :) For those of us who have already sent stuff off, I think we just want to make sure that everyone is still involved and that our molies arrive safe and sound and at some point we get them back. If you aren't still with us, please let us know....if you are, let us know that as well. Thanks so much!!

Finished two moleys in one day!

IVE FINISHED *YAY*
it's taken me...11 am till 9pm with small breaks for food etc...I cant feel my legs! But yay, they are done!
The first ne is done in my moleskine and the last done in Kelley's. They are a bit small. For some reason blogger wont let me add the link in from flickr with the picture. The scan is rubbish too...you'll just have to see it in person!

Will be sending them to you soon Sherrie!

Another package heading to the UK!!

Just wanted to keep you ladies updated...I finally finished the last few details on Amy's moly and have just put in the mail headed to Rose....my moly took about two weeks to get to her over there, so I've been trying to work fast so that we can keep trucking along :)

How is everyone else doing with their molies?? Let's see some pictures ladies!! Has anyone else mailed things out besides me and Amy, please keep us all posted.

Kelley - your moley arrived today!! ITS SO BEAUTIFULL! now i just want to scribble all over mine hehe!! oooh and i LOVE the front page with our names on. I wont give it away to anyone (they can see it for themselves when they receive it) but its so cute. You really have a gift at drawing roses!
Anyway, I'm still finishing mine Sherrie, so hold on! I think I'll send both the moley's out while I'm at the post office (seeing how its miles away) so it might be early next week till they get sent :)

How is everyone? Just wanted to keep everyone updated and let you know that I'm running a little behind, but should have my moly finished and sent out to Shalanna by the end of the week!

Have I mentioned how much I am loving this exchange???

Okay, I got Amy's book in the mail, sometime last week and haven't been able to put it down. I realize not everyone works at the same pace, some of us move faster, some slower and like to really think and plot things out...that's fine, but right now I am so excited about finally get things moving on the exchange I haven't been able to accomplish much else, hee hee. So here is what I've done in Amy's book, Amy I hope you like it, I really do.....I tried to find some way in which to connect what you had down so that the pages looked like they flowed together....the only thing I could come up with though was to bring in the colors you used, since your finish came with a straight line, lol. Geez, so difficult to work with aren't ya? Totally kidding :)

Any-hoo, I used browns and blacks at the left most part of my pages and added more color as it went to the right...I don't really remember if this scene in the Disney version took place in the evening or not, but I had a vague recollection that in the book version Alice was worried about having to be stuck in the house all night...hmmmm? still can't remember exactly. But I went with an evening theme, gave it lots of dark, rich color...hope you like it:

Hey just to let you know I've finaly got my moleskine from amazon on saturday, shall hopefully get it done by tomorrow or tuesday! Oh and also, Shalanna did you get my mail on flickr? I need your address for portrait_3! Thought I'd ask you here seeing how you watch this blog :)
