Courtney's Moly

Here is the latest Moly_X to come my way. This one was started by Courtney, with the theme of flowers. There is some really lovely work in here. Have a look at it all together in the video. My contribution is the girl at the end.

By my estimation we are coming to the end of our little collaborative project! I just wanted to say how much I've enjoyed it!

Lindsay's book arrives in Australia

The latest little book to cross my desk is the lovely one started by Lindsay, with the theme of travel.

The book is getting so long I couldn't photograph it all in one go, so here's a video instead. I'm not sure why my phone captures such a long skinny format...sorry about that...but I hope you enjoy it anyway!

Traveling the Netherlands

Hi everyone,

I've got another entry done.
I've made a little landscape of Holland (except for the hill).
With a little dutch train, a windmill and the dikesystem that keeps the country where we live from flooding.
I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
I've used my new pens. I bough Faber Castell's Pitt brush pens as a gift for myself in the holiday.
It arrived when my holiday was almost over, but just in time to still make it last weekend.
I realy enjoyed making it and I LOVE my new pens.
How's everybody else doing? Jessica, did you receive the last moly (the one from Courtney? And how are you doing on my moly? I hope things are going ok, for everybody ofcourse.

Hi everyone,

It took a long long time, but I have finished my first drawing in Courtney's Moly.
Her theme was Flowers, and I happen to Loooove roses. So I took a jump and I've drawn my very first rose.
And here is the result:

The next Moly is already waiting to be filled with more doodles, Lindsay's. The first two weeks of October I have my holidays and I plan to draw that one then. But I've got many plans, so there is a slight chance it won't happen. But I already have an idea of what to do, so that's a good start right?
How is everybody else doing? Any missing Moly's? I hope everybody is enjoying it as much as I do.
I'd like to hear from all of you, about how things go and how you experience it. Let us know, when things don't go right.

I received the first journals from someone else in the group, yay! The theme of Jacolien's lovely journal is mail, and travel and returning home, which is so perfect for me given those are pretty much my favorite things! Now to think up something worthy of putting in there!

I'll try to get a move on, so I can send it off to Lindsay soon!

So, they've forced the Postal Workers back to work ... I'm not sure how quickly Canada Post will get back on their feet - but I'll hope to send out Jessica's book this week!

Hi guys,

Just thought I would give you an update on my book. The theme I have picked is bunnies (no big surprise there).

Being a bit pressed for time I've only done the cover and one spread to start it off. I figure I'll fill in any remaining pages when it gets back to me. I'm on my way to the post office right now to send it off!

Mailing order

Hey everyone,

Since we're going to start in a few weeks, I thought it would be cool to have a mailing order.
On the right side of the blog I've made a mailing order and underneath a library. There everyone can keep the other members updated about which book is where.
Do you all agree on the mailing order?
I'll send everybody a mail with all our mailadresses. Contact the person you're sending to by mail, to get their adress.
If you're having any trouble getting started or having any other troubles, put it on the blog or mail any of us (or all of us).
I'm hoping that everything is clear to everybody.

My first entry!

Hi people,

Today I've made my first entry in my Moly.
The theme I've set is: from home, traveling the world and back home.
I had some trouble to think of a theme. And I thought to keep it a bit basic. The book will leave my home, travel around the world and come back to me after all. Traveling is something I would love to do, if only I would have a bit (much) more money. I like watching travelprograms and dream of destinations I'd like to go to.
As a first entry I've drawn a house in the mountains. I used normal colorpencils and aqua colorpencils.
I'm realy curious to see what this journey will bring into my Moly and the journey I'll be able to see when it's finished.

Do you guys already have a theme and/or a first entry for your moly's?

Hi Everyone!

My name is Lisa Rene and I am so pleased to have been invited to be a part of this group. Should be a lot of fun! Love the name "Wonderland"! Hope we keep it whether it becomes the theme of our group or not.

I think it would allow for more flexibility if each of us to determine her own theme as we go along. It's about having fun anyway.

I would like to propose that if we start in March, that we allow 3 months to complete our sign-in page AND our first entry AND allow for international travel for many of the molys. Does that sound like a good idea to everyone? I am a mom of two young children, work full-time and am involved in 2 other moly exchange groups...so time is precious. After the first exchange, maybe we could allow 2 months for every exchange rotation. That has seemed to work well for our moly_x_11 group so far. What do you all say?

Hi Moly_x_51,

We're about to start this moleskine exchange getting started and I'm realy excited about it!
I thought it would be a good start to introduce myself to you all.

I'm Jacolien, a 23-year old woman from the Netherlands. Since 2009 I'm married to my husband from France.
Currently I'm studying for medical analist in a laboratorium and I'm almost done! End of march I'll finish my internship and I'll finally graduate, after a few struggles...
I'm a huge booklover. The last years I've read about 36000 pages. I almost everyday end my day with reading for an hour or more.
About drawing. It's since half a year ago that I've discovered that I like to draw. Just doodling around and I started a art-journal (which I don't realy keep up to date...).
I'm not realy experienced yet and don't realy know what is my style. To find out I'll need to draw a lot more. With this moly_x group I hope to get inspiration from you guys and it's a nice way to keep drawing every once in a while.
I'm realy looking forward to discovering my drawing-style, what I'm good at and what I suck at (although I'll be not so excited if I mess up, but it teaches me what I shouldn't do aymore...).

About our moly_x_51.
I think the 5 people we have now is a good amount of people to start the exchange with, but I've got no experience with it.
Do we want to have a theme for all our books or do we give our books a theme ourselves? I think Marty has given our blog the name Wonderland. I think we could use that as a theme, it's not too difficult and you can draw what your imagianation brings to you.
Maybe we can start it in March or is that too soon for some of you?
